I’ve never been able to raise much enthusiasm for Versace’s designs. Apart from the wafts of eau-de-nouveau-riche there’s just too much cleavage and leg. There’s no mystery in a Versace dress…just wham bam, thank you ma’am…and, while I may not be Mata Hari, I do like some mystique.

So I was amazed when I found out that the dress that Daria Werbowy is wearing is from the house that Gianni built. It looks…(gasp)…cool. This is definitely one of those cases of the right accessories and the spirit of the wearer making the outfit but, even taking that into account, the dress looks fantastic.
